Amrita trained in the UK and has a degree in Psychology from the University of Salford, a PGCE teaching qualification from the University of Liverpool, NEBOSH Diploma in Health and Safety and a Diploma in Risk Management from the Institute of Risk Management (IRM), Amrita, formerly in teaching, has been training for over 25 years. Her studies continue with her studying for Fellowship of the IRM. Other areas of training experience are in ergonomics, stress management and office environments.
With her previous company, she set up and managed a training centre which delivered IRM risk management courses to over 200 delegates from the UK and overseas. Delegates came from multi-nationals, social enterprises, NGOs, charities, banking and insurance, government agencies. It became the largest UK provider of these courses outside of London.
She has delivered risk management courses overseas on many occasions, the most recent being Hong Kong and Malaysia.
